John — the stakes couldn’t be higher this election for climate action — and yes, we know we keep saying it, but it’s true: Climate scientists are warning that we have less than five years left to seriously cut down on fossil fuels to avoid the worst of climate change.
So we’ll cut straight to the chase: We need volunteers — lots of volunteers — who are ready to roll up their sleeves and put in the work for our climate champions. Volunteers who believe that the climate crisis is the fight of our generation and are ready to throw down, whether that’s through phone banking, knocking on doors, or hosting a virtual house party.
Are you ready to join the ranks of everyday heroes fighting for climate justice? We’re building a number of volunteer teams. Read on for more information on each of them, or click here to take the next step!
Here are some of the ways you can get involved:
📞 Phone banking: Make calls to voters in key districts, sharing information about our climate champions and encouraging them to vote. Most phone banks will be remote, so it’s easy for you to participate from anywhere.
🚪 Canvassing: Get out in the community and go door-to-door in high-priority precincts within our targeted districts. If you join our canvassing team, a JanePAC team member will reach out to try to find canvassing opportunities with our candidates near you.
🗳️ Precinct Leadership: Take on a leadership role with additional responsibilities in our key California districts. The JanePAC team will provide you with a targeted list of voters you’ll be responsible for contacting and ensuring they have everything they need to vote for our climate champions!
🏠 House Parties: Host friends, family, and neighbors to discuss the importance of electing climate champions. This is a powerful way to recruit volunteers and small donors. Jane might even join a few!
📋 Tabling: Engage the public in high-traffic areas with signage and candidate materials. Spread the word about JanePAC’s mission and the importance of voting for climate champions.
📝 Special Projects: Support our team with various tasks, such as remote volunteer support, training, recruitment calls, data entry, and more.
Every conversation you have, every voter you reach, brings us closer to victory in November. And don’t forget: these down-ballot races have major power over climate policy. It’s not just about Washington, D.C. — it’s about electing state legislators, city council members, and public utility board leaders who can make change happen now.
So, John, are you in? Let’s show the fossil fuel giants what a real grassroots movement looks like. Click here to join the volunteer team and help us turn climate action from a pipe dream into reality.
Thanks for being part of this fight.
