Hola John,

Today officially kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month, where we highlight the cultural and societal impact millions of hispanos have had in the United States. Though our backgrounds may span seas, regions, and even continents, we can still come together and celebrate!

From tacos to tostones, we all celebrate in our own way, and I am proud to be hispana.

Did you know in Texas we make up over 40% of the population?? As the second-largest group of voting-age Americans, we always show up for our communities. When it’s time to vote for our next president, 80% of latino voters show up. The fact is: We’re here and we care about our rights and our freedoms.

But especially now, when we’re weeks away from voting in the most important election of our lives -- we need to stand together.

Since George W. Bush became president, the number of Hispanic voters has doubled and continues to rise every year. During this Hispanic Heritage Month, can we count on you to pledge to vote this November: [link removed]
