Dear Neighbor, 

After 9 long years of fighting, the Dream Act application is live and we have folks ready to help you with the process! 

This Thursday, August 15th marks the 7th Anniversary of the DACA program's implementation. For many dreamers, this was a life-changing event, but for others, the opportunity to access higher education was still unachievable. One of my priorities this legislative session was to pass the Senator Jose Peralta New York State Dream Act because I see the reality of what my constituents, my neighbors, my community experiences. The passage was long overdue, but it finally became a reality this past January.

Please join me and my colleagues, Assemblywoman Catalina Cruz, and Assemblyman Jeffrion Aubry, to learn about the TAP application process, scholarships and many other resources available for our youth in #District13.

¡Después de 9 largos años de lucha, la aplicación del Dream Act ya está lista y tenemos personas para ayudarlo con el proceso!
 
Este jueves 15 de agosto se cumple el séptimo aniversario de la implementación del programa de DACA. Para muchos soñadores, este fue un evento que cambió sus vidas, pero para otros, la oportunidad de acceder a la educación superior era aún inalcanzable. Una de mis prioridades en esta sesión legislativa fue aprobar la Ley del sueño del Senador José Peralta del estado de Nueva York, a diario veo la realidad de lo que experimentan mis electores, mis vecinos y mi comunidad. La aprobación se había retrasado mucho tiempo, pero finalmente se hizo realidad el Enero pasado.
 
Únase a mí y a mis colegas, la asambleísta Catalina Cruz y el asambleísta Jeffrion Aubry, para obtener información sobre el proceso de solicitud de TAP, becas y muchos otros recursos disponibles para nuestros jóvenes en el # Distrito13.
