As we discussed on yesterday's national organizing call, Our
Revolution leaders and members in states like Wisconsin,
California and Massachusetts, were critical in convincing the
Biden campaign to support the Bernie delegate positions based on
the voters and not obscure party rules.

These delegates, in turn, can help preserve party reforms like
limiting the role of superdelegates in future presidential
campaigns and in pushing for a progressive platform and policies
like Medicare for All, stopping fracking, and enacting
immigration reform.

Democratic Party leaders also understand that they can't simply
seat hundreds of New York delegates after Governor Cuomo was able
to cancel the presidential primary. These fights may seem
obscure, but in our two-party system, we must fight to limit the
power of party bosses if we expect to see a government that works
for us.

Working to change the Democratic Party for the better is one of
the key parts of our strategy at Our Revolution, and it's
enormously gratifying when our organizing makes a difference.

working to change the Democratic Party, and these outcomes are a

Our Revolution has built upon Bernie Sanders' progressive vision
and brought energy into many of the state Democratic parties to
challenge the conformity that has ruled for decades.

Together, we have learned that there are no shortcuts. Real
change won't happen without continuous, sustained hard work.

Because of our efforts, the Democratic Party platform should be
significantly more progressive on health care, climate change,
money in politics, and much more.

Getting progressive policies into the platform is a crucial
first step that allows us to hold Joe Biden and others
accountable once they are elected to office.
