Tuesday’s debate revealed something that we’ve known for a long, long time: Trump is in decline. Serious decline. His delusional tangents and numerous falsehoods that he treats like a religion made that extremely clear. Ultimately, we didn’t learn anything new from the debate. What we learned is coming from MAGA’s response to the debate.

Have you noticed that while news networks and a couple GOP “stars” are calling out Trump’s craziness, everybody else is doubling down? Just take a look at what’s been going on the past few days:

1. JD went out and doubled down on Haitians eating pets. Instead of just admitting it’s unverified and ridiculous or even just staying silent, JD chose to amplify. Makes sense. Weird people love spreading weird theories.

2. Trump himself is amplifying the racist pet rumor. He did it in Georgia, and in Arizona he added geese into the mix saying Haitians are now targeting “parks and lakes.”

3. Laura Loomer is still in the inner circle. Trump brought the infamous 9/11 conspiracy theorist to the 9/11 memorial for a ceremony honoring the victims. Beyond tone deaf. And don’t forget, this woman is so off-the-wall insane that she was called out for being a racist by none other than Marjorie Taylor Greene. Once you’ve lost MTG, you’ve lost…  basically everyone? And in case you were wondering, yes, she did double down on the pet thing, and yes, she added another species to the mix. Humans. She tweeted out that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio are eating humans.

What does all of this mean? Besides Trump getting crazier by the day, it just means that MAGA is doubling down. They’ve made it clear that they will back the orange messiah to the ends of the Earth and that they will stop at nothing to make sure he gets another four years in office.

On this pirate ship, we think differently. The complete opposite, actually. We are ready to go to the ends of the Earth to make sure Donald Trump lands in prison instead of the Oval Office this November. We’re doubling down too.
