Dear John,
If you weren’t in Garland last night for our town hall, I wanted to make sure you heard this message that was echoed at the event:
I am much more interested in what is good for you rather than for what's good for my political career or the Democratic Party.
My opponents will likely say I was avoiding overly political positions or controversial policies when I said this, but that would be misleading. I simply believe in speaking truth to the issues and solutions that our community values -- and in Texas, those don’t often follow any one party’s agenda.
Ultimately, public service should never be about a representative or a party -- it should always center on the community they fight for. That’s why I proudly work every day to represent North Texas, our beliefs, and culture in Congress.
John, I want to represent our community in Congress and fight for North Texas families for years to come, but I’ll need your support to make that happen. Will you stand with us with a small donation?
True public service means listening to and embracing a variety of viewpoints and positions -- not just the Democratic status quo.
It means forging bipartisan relationships with members in Washington and friends in North Dallas alike and using our common interests and goals to make progress.
It means working on common sense issues like infrastructure and veterans affairs, because it will change lives, even if I don't get as much air time on cable news.
John, I’ll never stop fighting to do right by each and every one of you -- will you help my re-election campaign by chipping in just $5?
Thank you for making me proud to represent TX-32 every day.
-- Colin
