My team and I have been walking through some of the math we’re facing in our race to defeat Scott Baugh, keep CA-47 blue, and take back the House.

Three points. That’s how close this race was in 2022 when my opponent tried to defeat Rep. Katie Porter. With so much on the line in this election, we’re expecting our race to be even closer this time around. Every vote counts here folks, so we need all hands on deck over the next 52 days. 

Four seats. That’s how many seats Democrats need to take back the House. We know it’s going to be really close, and that’s why it’s absolutely critical that we keep swing seats like ours blue. Quite simply: We can’t take back the House without winning CA-47.

$2,500,000. That’s how much the NRCC is investing in our media market this fall. I’ve been under attack by Republicans since the very beginning, and as one of Republicans' “top offensive targets,” we know more attacks are on the way. 

We can win this race team, but it won’t be easy. This grassroots team has carried us this far and with your help, we’ll get across the finish line this November.

Now that I’ve broken down some of the math, I hope you understand the real challenges we’re facing, but I also hope you’re as motivated as I am to give this election all we’ve got.
