Paid for by Nikki Budzinski for Congress

Hey,

After this week’s debate, all eyes are on the race for the White House between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. But, today I want to talk to you about some elections happening in our state that are equally as important, but get a fraction of the airtime, and those are races at the local and county level.

Why do these races matter?

Because all politics is local. Across the country we’ve seen reports of school boards banning books or removing curriculum material, county judges deciding cases that change policy as we know it, and county boards voting on affordable housing and transportation laws in our communities.

There is a lot of damage that can be done at the local and county level – and thousands of our neighbors have been impacted by bad policy. That’s why it’s our job to fight back and ensure that Democrats are elected up and down the ballot.

Luckily here in our state, the Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association is waging that battle – and they work every single day to make sure that every election is competitive, from the top of the ballot to the bottom. IDCCA knows that we can’t afford extremism at any level of government, and their mission is to prevent it.

With just 52 days left until Election Day, can you make a split contribution right now between my campaign and IDCCA, so we can protect democracy at the county level and in Congress?
