This is no accident, Louis DeJoy, Trump’s handpicked Postmaster General, is systematically sabotaging the USPS to cripple mail-in voting. The plan is clear: slow down the mail, raise prices, and make it harder for people to vote, especially in rural areas, Indigenous communities, and low-income neighborhoods.
Mail-in voting has long been a vital tool for millions of Americans, especially those who can’t easily make it to the polls. Veterans, seniors, rural voters, and people with disabilities depend on it. In the 2020 election, mail-in ballots were crucial in countering Trump’s lies about voter fraud.
Trump knew this, and so did DeJoy. That’s why they’re working overtime to dismantle the USPS from the inside. We’ve already seen DeJoy’s handiwork, deliberate mail delays, removal of sorting machines, cuts to overtime, and price hikes that make it harder for everyday Americans to rely on the USPS.
This isn’t just an attack on a public service, it’s an attack on democracy itself and if we don’t act now, our democracy could be compromised beyond repair.
Help stop this blatant attempt to privatize the USPS before it’s too late. Demand that Congress step in and protect the USPS from DeJoy’s sabotage.
We’re not dealing with random inefficiencies here, this is a coordinated attack. Trump’s lies about mail-in voting being rigged were just the beginning. Now DeJoy, with Wall Street backing him, is trying to turn those lies into reality by dismantling the USPS one policy at a time.
He knows that without a functioning postal service, millions of voters, especially those who oppose Trump’s agenda, will be disenfranchised.
Make no mistake, this is a continuation of Trump’s strategy to undermine our democratic institutions. DeJoy is Trump’s puppet, carrying out his attacks on democracy, even after leaving office.
If DeJoy and his Wall Street cronies get their way, the USPS will become just another for-profit business, and mail-in voting will become a relic of the past. We can’t afford to let Trump’s sabotage of our democracy succeed.
Demand that Congress remove DeJoy and restore the USPS to its rightful place as a public service that protects democracy, not undermines and privatizes it.
Together, we can stop this assault on our USPS and our democracy.
