James,
I want to tell you a quick story about why I first ran for office – and why I now am asking you to consider pitching in to my campaign before tomorrow’s deadline. [link removed]
I’ve always loved working with patients – going into an exam room, listening to what’s on their mind, and looking for ways to make their lives better. I definitely didn’t always think I wanted to run for office.
But then politicians started pushing their way into my exam rooms. In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs , when abortion was banned in Wisconsin, there was a lot of confusion about what we were allowed to do when treating patients. Doctors and patients alike didn’t have options.
I fought back, and we won. I sued challenging the law that restricted abortion in Wisconsin, and today, it is legal across the state.
But it’s clear that we can’t stop the fight there, because the folks trying to restrict our health care options aren’t going to stop.
So I decided that if politicians were going to come into my office, I was going to go into theirs. I decided to run for office.
But now, we’re less than two months away from Election Day. We’re down to the final weeks of this campaign, and ballots are being mailed this week. My opponent has given his own campaign hundreds of thousands of dollars, and we need to mobilize now.
So I’m asking: Will you pitch in right now to help win this year? Please, rush $ before tomorrow’s deadline >> [link removed]
Thank you, truly.
