I have hope, John.

After Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, we all knew it was only a matter of time before Governor Reynolds and her extremist allies took away our fundamental freedoms and banned abortion in Iowa. It was devastating for so many Iowans to watch the judiciary side with Reynolds and eventually allow her abortion ban to take effect this summer.

But we're not done with this fight, we can still win back our rights.

Just look at other Midwestern states:

Like Missouri, where activists fought to get a ballot initiative on their November ballot — despite extremists who pleaded with the Missouri Supreme Court to scratch it off the ballot — and Missourians now have the opportunity to vote for their rights.

Or look at North Dakota. Just this week, a North Dakota court struck down the state's abortion ban and ruled that the states constitution protects a woman's right to abortion until fetal viability.

And don't forget the countless other campaigns and ballot initiatives across the country that are fighting to protect abortion rights.

Despite having seen our rights disappear in an instance, or the long and rocky road ahead of us, or the days when we may feel broken and discouraged, there is still a reason for hope, because if we Stand Tall for All, we will be able to win back our rights.

You've been a part of our grassroots movement, and together we've Stood Tall for All Iowans. But our next step in the fight for abortion rights is to join together again and elect more candidates who aren't afraid to stand with us.

If you're ready to join our fight for reproductive rights in Iowa, chip in $11 today to elect more Democrats in Iowa and to Stand Tall for our rights.

Stand Tall for All,

J.D.
