Our new resource shows why courts matter. President Trump’s nominees to the federal bench pose a serious and ongoing threat to our rights and freedoms. These nominees often have records of favoring the interests of the wealthy and powerful at the expense of the rights and safety of workers, consumers, LGBTQ people, people of color, women, and immigrants. To highlight how the federal judiciary is being transformed, we’ve created a new online resource that focuses on the records of Trump judicial nominees issue-by-issue. This page focuses on issue areas from racial equity, to LGBTQ rights, to women’s rights and more -- and lists Trump nominees we have researched whose records on these issues are deeply troubling. It’s a stark reminder of the impact Donald Trump is having on our courts -- and how much work we must do to ensure courts can return to their critically important role in protecting our rights. | |
