Amazon workers are essential

Friend,

Today is International Workers' Day. And every day since the pandemic began, thousands of employees at Amazon have been (and still are) risking their health to ensure people across the country get the essential goods they need. But, Amazon has failed to properly protect its employees and COVID-19 has spread to more than 70 facilities.

On top of this, Amazon has fired workers that have spoken out about their safety concerns.

This is outrageous. Instead of firing whistleblowers. Amazon needs to protect workers and communities.

To make matters worse, Amazon has ended its unlimited unpaid time off policy. This means individuals now must decide between risking their lives to go into work or losing their job. No corporation should put someone in this position. Further, the richest man in the world, who has made more than $24 billion since the pandemic started, should not be putting people in this position!

When Amazon disrespects its workers and doesn’t provide proper workplace protections, it puts ALL of us at risk

Now is the time for us to come together and support one another through these difficult times. Amazon and Whole Foods workers across the country are walking out today - help elevate their demands:

Take a stand today and tell Amazon it's time that Amazon workers get the respect they deserve!
