[Your campaign brief for August 30, 2024]([link removed])

John-

This week, we saw the first (and maybe last) presidential debate between President Trump and Kamala Harris. It is not obvious that any minds were changed after the debate, but I offered my thoughts on what we saw. I also commemorated the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and highlighted the disturbing revelations detailed in the Republican investigation into the Afghanistan withdrawal.

As always, thank you for your continued support of my campaign. We are less than two months until this critical election, and I’m going to be spending my time, energy, and resources working to make sure we hold onto our majority in the House of Representatives. If you’re able to donate anything at all to my campaign, it will go a long way toward ensuring conservatives win up and down the ballot this November. I don’t hoard the money you send my campaign, but rather use it immediately to win. If you can contribute, I would greatly appreciate it:

As always, thank you for your continued support. Now here’s your brief.

A DEBATE THAT CHANGED NOTHING

This week’s debate is past us, and no minds were changed. President Trump has indicated that he won’t do another debate, but I think he could easily win any debate against Kamala Harris.

Harris is all over the map on policy, but one fact remains unchanged: she has been at the highest levels of power over the last 3.5 years and supported every single progressive policy that has led to disastrous outcomes. This is not a matter of interpretation, but a matter of fact.

Harris is responsible for sky-high inflation - she cast the deciding vote on trillions in new spending that led to the worst inflation America has seen in decades. Harris is responsible for the illegal immigration crisis - as a candidate she promised to decriminalize border crossings and encourage policies that incentivize illegal immigration, which is exactly what she did as Border Czar. Harris was the last person in the room before Joe Biden made the disastrous decision to withdraw from Afghanistan, costing 13 American lives and destroying America’s credibility on the world stage.

Trump should take Harris up on a second debate and hone in on contrasting his four years in office to hers.

It’s an easy comparison. Trump should do that, and win.

No better place to try out the [Endex Sidewinder Holster]([link removed]) than the Taran Tactical - the range where John Wick himself trains.

We actually SOLD OUT of the Endex Sidewinder Holster last month - but our American manufacturer has just completed our next batch. And no wonder we sold out - this really is the best concealed carry system on the market. The pants and shorts are made from premium fabric and fit great. You can wear them everywhere from the board room to the grocery store and no one will know you're concealed carrying a compact/subcompact. And again all of this is MADE IN THE USA.

Reminder to all the trolls in the comments: Endex is my campaign merchandise store. I don't make a dime off this and I'm not being sponsored by anyone. Every sale counts as a donation that goes to support Republican races across the country. So you're buying cool merchandise that supports the conservative movement. It's a win-win for 2A patriots.

WHY WERE PEOPLE PROMOTED AFTER THE AFGHANISTAN WITHDRAWAL?

[CLICK HERE TO READ MY TWEET THREAD]([link removed])

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul released a damning report on the Biden-Harris Administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. The report confirms what we already knew - that Joe Biden ignored the advice of military leaders about the risk of evacuating Afghanistan the way they did, and instead followed the lead of the State Department that had zero plan for the evacuation. Their failure led to the deaths of 13 Americans and destroyed America’s credibility on the world stage, which likely led our adversaries to believe they could take advantage of our weakness elsewhere.

I lay out all of the most disturbing elements of the report in my tweet thread, linked above.

One stunning revelation detailed in the report is the total lack of accountability in the aftermath of the disaster. In fact, key staff who were involved in the decision-making were actually promoted after the withdrawal.

Derek Chollet was promoted to Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, and John Kirby was moved to the White House as National Security Communications Advisor to spin the narrative around the withdrawal. Now, to make matters worse, Kamala Harris is asking for a promotion from the American people after saying she was “comfortable” with the administration’s evacuation plans after being the last person in the room with Joe Biden before the decision was made to leave the way they did.

This is the lack of accountability the American people hate about Washington, D.C. People involved in this abject, deadly failure should have been fired not promoted.

23 YEARS AFTER 9/11

This week, on the 23rd anniversary of 9/11, I shared a documentary I participated in a few years back in which I interviewed a New York City firefighter who responded to the terrorist attacks that horrible day. It is worth the watch this weekend if you have time.

I was in high school in Bogota, Colombia when I heard the news that America was under attack 23 years ago.

I had already committed to becoming a Navy SEAL when I was younger, but what I saw on the morning of September 11, 2001 changed the course of my life, my worldview, and the lives of many others.

I joined the Navy, went to BUD/S, put on my Trident, and went to work taking the fight to America’s enemies in Iraq and Afghanistan to bring justice for the victims in New York, the Pentagon, and Shanksville.

But also so they could never bring the fight home to us again—that’s what was at stake.

I served with many men and women. All were committed to our country and willing to lay down their lives for the American people. I am grateful for their service and sacrifice, especially those who never made it home.

We must make an effort to remember the victims from that morning and the wars that followed, but most importantly, remember the feeling of unity we felt as we came together as a many for our one country. We need that now, and every day.

Never Forget.
