Now more than ever, we must support our teachers so they can continue to support and inspire our kids. I was reminded of this at a HUGE event recently, where I was honored to be joined by one of my favorite teachers–and my personal hero–my mom!

As the daughter of a public school teacher, I’ve seen firsthand the dedication and sacrifices they make every day to provide the best education for their students. Our teachers are essential to shaping the future and guiding the next generation. But too often, they’re undervalued, underpaid, and overworked.

That’s why I’m fighting in Congress to ensure that public schools get the funding they need, that our teachers are paid a fair wage, and that every child has access to a high-quality education, regardless of where they live.

Republicans, like my opponent, have sided with those who want to defund public schools and divert resources to private schools, leaving many children and teachers behind. We can’t let that happen.
