I also joined my colleagues in a press conference to support critical legislation that will protect voting rights for all Americans. This legislation takes important steps to fight against disenfranchisement, combat voter discrimination, and strengthen access to the ballot box—which is the very bedrock of our democracy.
As a son of Rochester, home of Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony, the fight for voting rights is in my DNA. And I won't back down.
