Tell Congress: No Giveaways to the Fossil Fuel Industry!
This summer, Joe Manchin brought back his terrible “Dirty Deal'' legislation that would gut bedrock environmental protections, endanger public health, and fast-track harmful fossil fuel projects. The Dirty Deal passed through the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee earlier this summer.
Now, the House Natural Resources Committee is considering a bill from Representative Westerman that would double down on the Manchin Dirty Deal and include even more giveaways to the fossil fuel industry!
Urge your U.S. Representative to oppose any rollbacks to bedrock public health and environmental laws!
Stop Another Dirty Deal

Over 150 Organizations Call on Governor Newsom to Shut Down Aliso Canyon!
“It’s far past the time for Governor Newsom to stop talking about California’s climate leadership on the national and global stage and take action to be a climate leader,” said Andrea Vega, Southern California Senior Organizer for Food & Water Watch. “He must immediately direct the CPUC to announce a date to shut down Aliso Canyon.” This unified call is launching a new phase in the effort to shut down Aliso Canyon. Read more about this critical new phase here.

Protecting Our Water From Factory Farms!
The Michigan Supreme Court ruled in Michigan Farm Bureau v. Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy that the state has the authority to rein in factory farm pollution as necessary to protect water quality in Michigan – a win for coalition efforts pushing for stronger water pollution permits at factory farms to protect the environment and public health! Food & Water Watch and our allies submitted a “friend of the court” brief opposing Farm Bureau’s arguments and have intervened in a parallel case in Michigan to defend strong permits going forward. Read more about this critical victory here.
