Speaking at the Economic Club of New York, Trump announced plans to eliminate 10 existing regulations for every new one introduced, far surpassing his first-term goal of cutting two for every one added. “I’m proud to be the only president in modern history to achieve a net regulatory reduction during my term, and it was a substantial reduction,” Trump said. He criticized President Joe Biden's regulatory policies and vowed to reverse them, particularly in industries like cryptocurrency, where he plans to position the U.S. as a global leader. Trump also tied the Biden administration’s regulatory efforts to Vice President Kamala Harris, and pledged that his administration would prioritize slashing the “administrative state.” He rightly accused federal agencies of using rulemaking and regulation application to bypass Congress and advance liberal agendas. Republicans, including Trump, aim to undo Biden-era regulations through executive orders and by utilizing the Congressional Review Act to cancel recent rules. Trump also proposed passing the REINS Act, which would require Congressional approval for any major regulation. Additionally, Trump echoed a proposal from Tesla founder Elon Musk by calling for a government efficiency commission. This body would review federal agencies and recommend "reforms" to improve performance and cut costs. The Special Efficiency Commission, may be named Department of Government Efficiency. As a side note, the acronym of D.O.G.E. also happend to be the name of Musk’s cryptocurrency. The rollback of Biden regulations, Trump suggested, would be multifaceted and swift, making regulatory reduction a centerpiece of his administration's agenda if elected. Thank you!     Former Aide to NY Governors Accused of Spying for China: A Wake-Up Call to CCP Influence The recent arrest of Linda Sun, a former top aide to New York governors Kathy Hochul and Andrew Cuomo, has highlighted the extent of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) infiltration in U.S. government bodies. Sun, who worked in the governor's office for over a decade, was indicted on September 3 for visa fraud, alien smuggling, and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Alongside her, her husband, Chris Hu, faces charges for conspiracy to commit money laundering and bank fraud. The Department of Justice revealed that Sun had forged Governor Hochul’s signature and altered Cuomo's public statements to advance CCP interests. She also allegedly facilitated the illegal entry of CCP officials into the U.S. to meet with American government representatives. Sun was fired in March 2023 for misconduct, and Governor Hochul indicated that her office had played a role in notifying law enforcement, though specifics remain undisclosed due to the ongoing investigation. Experts warn that this case could be just the beginning. Dennis Wilder, a senior fellow at Georgetown University, criticized state governments for being "naive" regarding foreign agents. The CCP's growing influence at local levels is obvious yo everyone inclufing Beijing with a 2019 Chinese report that ranked U.S. governors based on their stance toward Beijing. The CCP’s influence operations, according to experts, rely on both covert and overt methods, ranging from sister-city partnerships to recruiting agents of influence through the United Front network. A 2020 Newsweek investigation identified 600 United Front organizations in the U.S., potentially involving tens of thousands of people knowingly or unknowingly working for China. As U.S. officials take note of this case along with other such revelations, it underscores the need for a unified national strategy to counter CCP foreign influence. Right now.     “Peace Through Strength” A Strong U.S. Stabilizes the Globe   The lead spokesperson for the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, has stated that they view Kamala Harris, the U.S. Democratic presidential nominee, as a more predictable opponent than Republican Donald Trump. “Predictability” is international diplomatic-speak for “not too bright.” Peskov downplayed any possibility of improved relations between Russia and the United States regardless of the election's outcome. And when asked about Trump’s claims that he would end the Ukraine conflict if re-elected, Peskov dismissed the remark. Peskov reiterated that Russia has no preferred candidate, although Democrats, including Harris, are seen as easier to manipulate. President Vladimir Putin previously expressed similar sentiments about Joe Biden, sarcastically complimenting his predictability while questioning his mental fitness. Putin and Peskov have both maintained that the U.S. election is strictly a domestic affair, but the Kremlin has shown clear preferences over time. Peskov also condemned the U.S. for actions that, according to him, have undermined Russia’s interests, signaling continued tensions regardless of who wins the presidency. Putin is well aware that Trump as President freezes Russia’s ambitions and creates global stability which does not help a nation like his which thrives on chaos and a weak America.
