John, it’s Friday the 13th.

Today’s date is often shrouded in superstitions and deemed “unlucky.” But, here at Foushee HQ, we’re known to flip the script.

That’s because Valerie has set the tone that perseverance triumphs over any obstacle in its path. She’s redefined what it means to set your mind to something and get it done.

Valerie went from volunteering at her sons’ school, to joining the school governance committee, then serving as Orange County Commissioner. During her years there, Valerie was a 4-semester Dean’s List student where she earned her Bachelor’s in Political Science and Afro and African-American studies. Then, she ran for State House.

Now, Valerie is in Congress building a better life for the diverse communities of NC-04. She’s not slowing down in her mission, John. But she needs our support to defend her seat.
