Democrat,

On Tuesday we witnessed Kamala Harris deliver an impressive performance in the debate that reaffirmed her readiness and commitment to beginning a new chapter in our country. With her factual responses and unwavering confidence, she addressed the most critical issues with clarity and strength, distinguishing herself as a formidable candidate. As the candidate. As she stated in one of my favorite quotes of the night a, “You’re not running against Joe Biden. You’re running against me.” All while Donald Trump was spewing tangents of immigrants eating pets in Springfield, Ohio and again resorting to his usual hateful rhetoric. Vice President Harris’ performance not only energizes the campaign but also reinforces why it's crucial for us to get on those doors and phones. This week the NJDSC kicked off our yearly Phone and Text Bank Fest. We are hosting opportunities 6 times a week, every week until Election Day. Tell your friends, family, and neighbors that if they’ve been looking to “do something” for this election, the opportunity is right here [[link removed]] . Let’s continue to build on this momentum and work towards a resounding victory.

As we mark the passing of two decades since September 11, 2001, I want to take a moment to honor and remember all those we lost on that tragic day. The events of September 11 forever changed our world. We pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of first responders, the innocent victims, and their families who have endured unimaginable loss.

On September 18th, voters in the 10th Congressional District will be able to cast their votes in the special election, filling the seat of the late and Honorable Congressman Donald Payne, Jr. While filling the shoes of Congressman Payne is a near impossible task, I believe LaMonica McIver is the person who will take on that role best with pride, dedication and integrity. But you don’t have to wait until September 18th to vote. I voted this week by mail myself. Early voting is open NOW until this Sunday. Find your early vote site here [[link removed]] and then make your plan to vote this weekend.

This week, Governor Murphy gave the keynote address at the Canada FinTech Forum, organized by Finance Montreal. He highlighted how New Jersey and Québec, as frontrunners in finance and innovation, are strategically positioned to shape the future of Canada's relationship with America. The event also marked the launch of a new partnership between Finance Montréal and Stevens Institute of Technology, enabling innovators and industry leaders from both regions to collaborate.

“Our unmatched talent pool, access to capital, and digital infrastructure that sets the stage for innovation is why New Jersey is home to more than a quarter of the world’s top 100 fintech companies,” said Governor Murphy. “Through our investment in innovation hubs and by building partnerships with other leading hubs like Montreal's fintech ecosystem, New Jersey will remain at the forefront of innovation in the fintech space.”

On September 9, President Biden delivered remarks at the White House to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and mark Disability Pride Month. In his speech, he highlighted the significant progress made in advancing rights and accessibility for individuals with disabilities while underscoring the ongoing need for continued advocacy and support. President Biden acknowledged the contributions of the disability community and emphasized the administration’s commitment to ensuring that every American, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to thrive and participate fully in society.
