Our communities are stronger when we all have a safe, stable, affordable place to call home, no matter our race or income. This has never been more evident than right now, amidst our current COVID-19 public health and economic environment. Affordable housing is foundational to our economic recovery ahead, to help America’s workforce get back on their feet, offer protections for the individuals and families who have and will suffer layoffs and cutbacks, as well as pumps billions of dollars into the nation’s economy by creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs through affordable housing construction.
