I hope this message finds you well. Last month, I reached out on behalf of Build Alaska’s Future Action Fund (BAF Action), a nonprofit committed to promoting democracy, transparency, and balanced politics. Today, I’m following up with an urgent and time-sensitive request.

We have just 52 days before the election, and early voting starts soon. Mary Peltola, the first Alaska Native member of Congress, is facing Nick Begich III a Trump-aligned opponent in what will be a tough re-election. Securing her seat is critical—not only for Alaska but for the entire country. With Mary in Congress, we’re one seat closer to a Democratic majority, building a blue firewall to protect America from Project 2025, an extremist far-right agenda that could reshape our nation in dangerous ways.

Project 2025 would:

• Use an 1870s law to limit abortion access nationwide
• Eliminate the Department of Education
• Force federal agencies to enforce a ‘biblically based’ definition of marriage and family
• Introduce a new national sales tax, costing the average family $2,500 per year
• Slash critical programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

This agenda would be disastrous for Alaska and the country as a whole. To combat it, Build Alaska’s Future Action Fund is dedicated to transparency, education, and protecting Alaska’s legacy of bipartisanship. Mary Peltola stands for the same values, working across party lines for solutions that benefit all Alaskans.
