Hey Friend, this is James from NYCC.
Last week, I traveled to New Orleans with NYCC member leaders and organizers to support our friends at Step Up Louisiana with a critical workers’ rights campaign.
They’re organizing hard to pass a ballot measure for a Workers’ Bill of Rights in New Orleans – a policy that would be life-changing for thousands of workers there.
We spent the week supporting their Organizer-In-Training program to develop local members’ organizing skills, share knowledge, and learn from one another about how we build power in our communities.
Opportunities to collaborate with movement partners like this are huge for our members. By showing up for others fighting against corporate greed, they gain valuable skills and build the confidence to fight for their own communities.
The more our members sharpen their skills and deepen their leadership, the more our overarching movement for justice grows – but organizing on this level requires resources, Friend.
Growing our members’ skills and scaling up our organizing makes all the difference in winning policies that create safer and healthier communities. Trainings like these build real power, and your support is one of the main reasons we’re able to organize on this level.
Can you make a contribution of $15, $25, or any amount you can so we can scale up our organizing work and develop our member leaders’ skills to grow our movement?
Your support has a concrete impact on what we can accomplish for our communities. Every dollar you contribute allows us to build a more organized, active member base ready to fight for a livable New York.
Please make a contribution today.
Thank you for your time and your continued support,
James Inniss
