Watching the debate this week like so many of you, I was reminded about one thing in particular:

Donald Trump didn't dispute, but in fact hyped coverage of how voters view a second Trump term, relishing the attribution of "revenge" and "dictatorship."


It is a stark reminder of the rising far-right extremism and the threat another Donald Trump presidency would pose to California.

I will continue doing everything in my power to help elect Kamala Harris as our next president to stave this threat, but we must have a plan in case this tyrant finds his way back into the White House.

I stood up to Trump’s Administration as your Controller, and I will do it again as your next Governor.

You have my word that I won’t allow anyone to use our state as a tool to play partisan politics.
