According to Americans for Tax Fairness research, billionaire spending in our elections has shot up by 300 times since the 2010 Citizens United Supreme Court decision opened the floodgates for unlimited campaign contributions.[1]

Millionaires, billionaires, and corporations are using their unlimited campaign contributions to undermine our democracy and elect candidates who share their world view of tax breaks for the wealthy and less opportunity for the rest of us.

For over 50 years, billionaires have been laying the groundwork to buy elections and consolidate power. They’ve poured untold billions of dollars into campaigns, PACs, and dark money groups, flooding our political system with cash that drowns out the voices of working people.

Project 2025 is the final piece of their plan, giving them the power to reshape the country to benefit their bottom lines—unless we stop them.

The data doesn’t lie: following the Citizens United decision, political donations from billionaire families like the Crow family, who bankroll Justice Clarence Thomas’s lavish vacations, skyrocketed by 862%.[1] Ultra wealthy families like the Kochs and the Waltons are using their vast fortunes to elect politicians who will give them massive tax breaks, while the rest of us pay the price.

We can’t allow this billionaire takeover to continue unchecked. Overturning Citizens United is critical to breaking their stranglehold on American politics. By reversing this disastrous ruling, we will stop the flow of unlimited billionaire and corporate cash into elections and begin the process of restoring power to the people—not the richest 1%.

Now, radical plans like Project 2025 are looking to directly benefit billionaires like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, who stand to gain from massive tax cuts on corporate profits and capital gains.

But here’s the thing: we can fight back. Overturning Citizens United is a key step toward stripping the billionaires of their power to dominate our elections.

The Democracy for All Amendment would ban unlimited corporate spending, cut off dark money at the source, and restore political power to the people—where it belongs.
