I’m proud to be one of the leading lawyers in the ongoing fight to defend democracy and protect voting rights, and
I have some fantastic news to share:
We just secured a
crucial victory for democracy in New York!
New York’s highest court recently upheld their Early Mail Voter Act, rejecting House Republican claims that the law violates New York’s constitution. All New York voters can now vote early by mail.
While this is a MAJOR step in the fight against voter suppression efforts, the GOP and right-wing groups are unyielding in their attempts to undermine voters’ trust in our democracy.
Before I explain more, I need to ask: Can you chip in $3 to the DCCC to help take the House back for Democrats? A Democratic House majority would serve as a significant line of defense against repeated Republican attacks on our voting rights and help strengthen our democracy for years to come.
John, take a look at some of the appalling things Republicans are doing to put our Democracy at risk:
- They’re trying to
purge millions of voters from state voter rolls.
- They’re plotting to
subvert future election results.
- They’re
nominating judges to state Supreme Courts who share their extreme views on abortion and voting rights.
As Democrats, we see right through these dishonest ploys for power.
We know that this country was built on the idea that voters should choose who represents them in government,
not the other way around.
But even so, my fears for the future of our democracy remain as Trump and his allies inch closer to taking back complete control of our government.
We can't trust MAGA House Republicans to defend our freedoms.
We must take back the House, John.
