This headline has us enraged:
"Massachusetts communities with dirty air are coronavirus hotspots"
Boston Globe
The fact is, decades-long policy failures are deepening the pain of this virus. Decades-long environmental injustice has a direct effect on those bearing the brunt of this disease in our state.
Frontline communities like Chelsea, Brockton, Everett, Lynn, Randolph, and Lawrence are more likely to be near petrochemical sites or other areas of unhealthy pollution levels. These communities have been left out of the national conversation for too long. As a result, they've gone without -- without the help they need to combat pollution affecting their health, without the protections they need for their next generations, and without the tools to combat painful devastation from the coronavirus today.
This is not a coincidence. Injustice compounds injustice -- we need leadership in the U.S. Senate that acknowledges this and is willing to take these injustices head-on. We cannot and will not allow the erasure of frontline communities to continue.
That's why Joe introduced the Environmental Justice for All Act with his colleagues. It's why he is a leading voice on this issue. Because he always shows up for those hit first and worst.
Joe is in this race to lift up the voices of those who have too long gone underprotected and underserved. If you are financially able at this moment, would you consider pitching in $3 to help fuel our campaign so we can ensure we have a leader in the Senate who will fight for frontline communities?

Chelsea, Brockton, Everett, Lynn, Randolph, and Lawrence--and communities like them across this country--deserve justice. Joe will show up for those communities. In Massachusetts and in the United States Senate.
Let's keep fighting.
