We kicked off the conversation with Al's own words reflecting on the question: "How are you thinking about the energy democracy movement these days?"
In reflection of the question, we held and sat with the light that Al brought to the movement. Al was a beacon of integrity throughout his life. He approached each situation with unwavering honesty, never compromising his principles. His moral compass was the guiding light for those who were fortunate enough to know him, reminding us the importance of staying true to our values.
Al will continue to be the guiding light for us moving forward. In this reflection, we sat with the reminder of what it felt like to have principled conversations with each other, to work intergenerationally, and to break our silos to work across different sectors.
Recognizing the need for a continued commitment to lean on each other in this work, we closed the circle with the invitation to engage in the narrative REFOCUS campaign Al helped led to launch:
