Should they win in November, MAGA Republicans have promised to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

We need to talk about the catastrophic effects that a full or partial repeal of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) would have on our communities in IL-14 and across the country. What would this look like for the millions of Americans who rely on the ACA for lower costs for prescriptions and health care?

‼️ Here’s what’s at stake:

Skyrocketing premiums will leave families unable to afford health insurance.
Healthier people leaving the marketplace will push costs even higher.
Affordable coverage will disappear.

🏥 The consequences don’t stop there:

$1.1 - $1.3 trillion in federal spending cuts will weaken essential health programs.
States and local governments will struggle to cover the rising costs for the uninsured.
Healthcare providers will lose trillions in revenue, impacting their ability to treat patients.
Uncompensated care costs will soar to $1.1 trillion, straining on the healthcare system.

$ Increased economic inequality:

Lower-income families will suffer the most with reduced coverage.
Wealthier households will benefit from tax breaks , worsening inequality.

We can’t ignore the consequences this would have on healthcare providers, state budgets, and tens of millions of individuals who rely on the ACA for affordable care.
