Now that our endorsements are set, I want to introduce you to several of the candidates we believe will be conservation champions when they’re elected to the state legislature. I’ll be sending an email each week to tell some of the stories of this election.
We finally have new, fair voting maps – thanks to your support and vote. Wisconsin voters finally have an opportunity to choose leaders who will represent their values and be held accountable by who matters most – their constituents.

Meet Jodi Habush Sinykin for Senate District 8
Jodi Habush Sinykin has spent her career as an advocate for clean water. As an environmental lawyer, there’s nobody more qualified to go to Madison to protect the people and places that we hold dear.

Protecting the Great Lakes
Jodi has spent her career championing protections for our Great Lakes. She was instrumental in passing the historic Great Lakes Compact. In the state Senate she can continue to protect our freshwater resources.

Strengthening Our Democracy
Some politicians would rather spread misinformation, rig and abuse the rules for their own personal power, and undermine the public’s trust in our democracy. Jodi will ensure that our democracy is resilient and thriving for generations to come.

Leading with Wisconsin Values
We don’t need another politician fueling partisan divides, we need somebody who will focus on the things that we have in common. Jodi knows that when we come together as a community, we can accomplish big things.

She is running against Duey Stroebel, one of the worst all-time legislators on conservation and democracy – and many other things like public health and workers’ rights. Stroebel has fashioned himself into a Big Lie MAGA extremist, even writing legislation in 2021 that would have disenfranchised disabled voters and restricted absentee voting. Thankfully, with new district maps in place the 8th Senate District promises to be one of the most competitive this election cycle.
