That’s not unusual! At this point in the campaign, they review the fundraising totals multiple times a day. In fact, Bob’s first and last conversation every day is about the campaign budget.
Why? Earlier this week, we approved the funds to launch our latest TV ad — even though we don’t have enough in the bank to stay on air for more than a week.
It is absolutely critical that we keep our TV ads running. A campaign never wants to “go dark.” TV ads reach thousands of voters, but they are expensive.
