John,

New York City has been hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the midst of this crisis, essential workers including health care workers, bus drivers, bodega owners, firefighters, and more are going to work everyday to keep us fed, healthy, and safe.

Supplies for personal protective equipment (PPE) are in short supply, which is why we’re proud to partner with the Yemeni American Merchants Association (YAMA) to help raise money for its #NYCMaskMission.

If you’re able, please make a donation of $5 or whatever you can to the Yemeni American Merchants Association COVID-19 support fund.

Donate to #NYCMaskMission

100% of the funds will go directly to facilitating the purchase, packing, and delivery of masks and other urgent PPE for the primary frontline health care workers and secondary frontline workers that keep New Yorkers alive.

YAMA is working directly with the City of New York to ensure the delivery of these supplies to hospitals that need them the most. In addition, they are working to protect the workers at neighborhood bodegas and delis by distributing kits throughout the city that contain 2-5 K95 masks, a box of latex gloves, and hand sanitizer.

With over 200 hospitals, 10,000 bodegas, and 12,000 bus drivers – it’s a big job, and New York needs our help. The goal is to acquire, distribute, and deliver 100,000 masks to essential workers in NYC. But that will only be possible with your help, John.

Will you chip in $5 to YAMA’s efforts to get these life saving supplies to doctors, nurses, EMS workers, FDNY, MTA bus drivers, and sanitation workers as soon as possible?

Bodegas are the lifelines of New York City and together we can make sure they can safely serve our communities by supplying them with the basic protection they need to stay healthy.

With thanks,

Women’s March Team
