Hi John,

I've just published a new blog post:
[link removed] California "Leads" [link removed]

Gavin Newsom put out a Top 10 list: "Ten Ways California Leads the Nation." Perhaps he took inspiration from David Letterman because the list is, to put it mildly, laughable.

One item is "belonging and unity." Another, unbelievably, is high-speed rail (we're investigating [link removed] that disaster in the Transportation Committee). Conveniently, Newsom fails to mention an area where the Census Bureau just announced California actually leads the nation: poverty.

He also didn't mention homelessness, crime, taxes, gas prices, housing costs, illegal border crossings, and more. Today I gave a speech on the House Floor [link removed] correcting these omissions: listing all the ways California truly "leads" in Newsom/Kamala's "model for the nation."

This wasn't the only opportunity this week to warn America about what Newsom and Kamala have done to our state. In the Judiciary Committee, we held a hearing about California's out-of-control crime. You can see my overview [link removed] of Prop. 47, Prop. 57, and all the other reckless policies.

In the Education Committee, I spoke about [link removed] the need to counteract Newsom's vile new law that forces schools to keep secrets from parents. We then passed the PROTECT Kids Act, restoring parental consent for any change to a child's gender markers or sex-based accommodations.

We also passed legislation to stop Biden from giving the WHO control over our country in the event of another "pandemic." And I announced I'm convening my subcommittee for a hearing [link removed] about ending taxes on tips - and stopping Biden/Harris's attacks on workers.

Newsom, meanwhile, suffered further humiliation. After the Democrat leader of the Senate blew off his "Special Session" to raise gas prices, the Democrat Governor of Arizona has joined with the Governor of Nevada to oppose it as well. There is no more toxic politician in America.

Help me win in November [link removed]
