This morning, I had a meeting with my finance team, where I learned that we’re facing an unexpected slowdown in our grassroots fundraising efforts. This couldn’t have come at a worse time since our campaign is gearing up to launch some crucial digital ads and mailers.

Can I ask you to rush $5 to help us close the gap ASAP?

Please know that I don’t ask for donations lightly, friend. I recognize that an investment in our campaign is a serious thing. I know we’ve told you before about the importance of Maricopa County, and I want to emphasize again just how much of the election (up and down the ticket) could come down to our county – it’s truly one of the most competitive in the nation.

That’s a serious responsibility, and one that I take to heart. It’s why budget gaps are such a big deal – with just 8 weeks to go until Election Day, every moment matters, and every opportunity for voter contact we have could make the ultimate difference. If we don’t have the funding we need for our digital ads and our mailers – we risk losing a vote that could decide an election.
