This misguided proposal has rightfully alarmed parents, athletes, and educators across the state, and here's why:
1. It’s Unfair to Female Athletes
Girls would be forced to compete against boys, who generally have physical advantages. This isn’t about equality—denying young women a fair playing field in their sports.
2. It’s Dangerous
Allowing boys to play on girls' teams raises serious safety concerns. The potential for injury increases when girls face bigger, stronger, and faster male athletes in close-contact sports.
3. It Opens the Door to Lawsuits
This reckless proposal would expose school districts to lawsuits if a girl is hurt or loses her place on a team. Who would bear the cost? Taxpayers like you.
