Dear friend,
I wanted to take a moment to tell you a bit about myself and why I'm running for president.
I grew up in a blue-collar family in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey.
My dad was a hardworking, 60-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union, while my mom stayed home to raise my sister and me.
My parents never had the opportunity to attend college. But because of my mother’s influence and with the help from my father’s labor union, I was able to attend and graduate from Columbia University and Georgetown University Law Center.
Like so many Americans, I got a helping hand from others that has made all the difference and opened countless doors of opportunity for me.
I understand the American Dream because I’ve lived it. And I want to help others live that dream. That’s why I’m running for President.
If you believe in that American Dream too, I hope that you’ll chip in a few dollars to power our campaign fighting to protect that dream for millions of Americans →
After I graduated from law school, with the help of some great partners I decided to take a chance and start my own business from nothing.
By the time I turned 40, I launched and led two companies and created thousands of jobs.
My time in the private sector has taught me many important skills critical to being a successful leader, like effective management, job creation, strategy, idea generation, communication, and teamwork.
But it’s my blue-collar roots, my faith, my commitment to social justice, and my strong progressive values that inspired me to run for Congress and commit my life to public service.
People like you deserve a leader who offers more than just impossible talking points, but a real, practical agenda that will help millions of American families.
I promise to be that leader. I promise to fight to unite our divided nation and turn big ideas into real solutions. To create a future that is more prosperous, more secure, and more just for you and your family.
But just like I couldn’t get through college without the support from my mother, my father, and others, I can’t win this presidential race without you.
Can you join us in the fight and donate $5 now to our campaign?
