Earlier this week, Hurricane Francine, a Category 2 storm, hit the Gulf Coast and knocked out power for hundreds of thousands in Louisiana. Americares emergency teams have been in close communications with our partners in the region to assess damage and critical needs.

Hurricane Beryl

When Hurricane Beryl became the earliest recorded Category 4 and 5 storm this summer, Americares delivered essential medical supplies and hygiene kits to clinics in Texas and the Caribbean, helping restore critical health services for affected families.

Hurricane Idalia

After Hurricane Idalia devastated coastal communities in Florida, Americares responded quickly by delivering urgent medical supplies, bottled water and emergency funding, allowing communities to maintain essential services in the crisis following the storm.

Hurricane Fiona

Hurricane Fiona brought catastrophic flooding and widespread destruction to Puerto Rico in 2022. Americares provided emergency medicine, relief supplies and fuel to clinics in Puerto Rico, ensuring continued care amidst power outages.
