On September 6, 2024, she joined a protest in the occupied West Bank, standing in solidarity with Palestinians under siege. That’s when Israeli forces shot and killed her in cold blood.

This brutal killing of an American citizen by foreign military forces demands a thorough, credible, independent investigation, not an internal investigation by the same people responsible for firing the bullets. The Biden administration’s call for Israel to investigate itself is an insult to justice.

It’s a clear recipe for a whitewash, not the accountability Ayşenur and her family deserve.

In fact, those brave enough to stand up for Palestinian rights in the West Bank too often have paid with their lives.

We cannot allow Ayşenur's murder to be swept under the rug. The fight for peace in Palestine is a fight for justice everywhere. It’s a fight for the millions of Palestinians who face daily repression, for the families who endure the constant threat of violence, and for people like Ayşenur who have the courage to stand in solidarity with the oppressed.

We won’t stop fighting until justice is served. Demand an independent investigation into the IDF killing of American citizen Ayşenur Eygi.
