This week, we watched the first major Presidential Debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Here’s the truth: there were some great and not-so-great moments from the debate that prepared us for what is ahead of us.

Here are some highlights from the debate:

• Vice President Kamala Harris eloquently presented her vision for our country and gave us a glimpse at what our future would look like under her leadership – she shared personal stories and reaffirmed that the right to abortion is a decision between a person and their doctor, not a politician’s.


• Donald Trump spread lies about “post-birth” abortions (which are not even real!) and says that it should be up to the states to decide a person’s bodily autonomy.


• VP Harris showed her strong policy acumen and addressed the issues impacting everyday Americans, including expanding access to affordable health care and child care.


• Convicted felon Donald Trump said that he has “concepts of a plan” when asked to lay out his plan of action for the American people. He instead praised dictators and reminded us of the dangers under his presidency.

Our goal is clear – We cannot let Donald Trump and his MAGA allies win and overthrow our democracy. With Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Walz at the top of the ticket, we must support Democratic women to get to the finish line and flip critical seats across the country so that they can work together and deliver progress for every American.
