Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, in partnership with the Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities, has announced an event called Deaf Outdoors Day that brings communication access to state parks.
Two state parks will be hosting a special day of programs for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community on September 28, 2024. Join us to learn more about state parks, take a guided hike, enjoy hands-on activities, discover the park’s history, and more! On that day, the parks will be providing ASL Interpreters for these scheduled activities.
