House Republicans are back at it.

Rather than focus on avoiding a government shutdown or tackling the many real legislative issues Congress should be focusing on, Speaker Johnson and House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan are wasting taxpayer dollars with partisan brinkmanship.

Federal law already makes it a crime for non-citizens to vote, and yet MAGA Republicans continue to push false, deceptive narratives to advance their SAVE Act – even possibly trying to tie it to a government funding bill. And why? Because Donald Trump TOLD THEM TO!

Yep, Donald Trump who insulted and degraded immigrants with disgusting lies during the most recent debate.

Republicans aren’t fit to lead – in the White House or in the House of Representatives. Help us close our $7,923 budget gap before tomorrow at midnight so we can fight back against Trump, Johnson, Jordan and MAGA Republicans' attack on our democracy. With just 53 days until Election Day, we can’t fall short:

Trump is making up insane lies about Haitian immigrants on the debate stage. Johnson is kowtowing to Donald Trump on the SAVE Act – legislation that will weaken the right of every eligible American citizen to vote.

Jim Jordan is abusing his power as Judiciary Committee chairman and wasting time and taxpayer dollars to hold phony hearings as part of some ridiculous agenda to defend Trump and undermine Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

Let’s be clear - Republicans have shown no interest in actually fixing our broken immigration system. They are just blaming Democrats, pushing unworkable solutions and using it as a campaign issue.

It’s disgusting and we have to fight back.

As the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, I am fighting back each and every day.
