New solicitations

*DES starts solicitation for refundable airfare contract*

DES plans to succeed contract 00919 with 03624 [ [link removed] ] for fully refundable airfare.

This contract provides fully refundable airline tickets without penalties or restrictions for authorized government travelers, with travel arrangements managed by each agency.

New statewide contracts

*New statewide contract available for police radar, lidar speed enforcement and accident scene reconstruction*

DES has a new statewide contract 24823 for police radar, lidar speed enforcement and accident scene reconstruction. It provides state and local law enforcement agencies with speed-measuring devices that comply with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) standards established on its Conforming Product List (CPL).

The following categories of equipment are available on this contract:


* Category A: Speed enforcement
* Category B: Speed advisory systems
* Category C: Accident and crime scene reconstruction  

This contract succeeds contract 00218 [ [link removed] ], which expires Aug. 31.

DES updated contract 04616 for illumination traffic signal, intelligent transportation system equipment and parts to reflect a change in a contractor’s name. Altus Traffic Management, LLC dba Statewide Safety Systems has a new dba, AWP Safety.

DES extends seasonal influenza and other vaccinations contract

DES extended contract 22523 in partnership with MMCAP Infuse for seasonal influenza and other vaccinations until March 31, 2025.  After the contract expires, these products will be available through contract 26323 [ [link removed] ] for medical supply solutions.

Contract feedback

DES needs your input on a *translation services – written word statewide contract*

DES is developing contract 03824 for translation services – written word to replace contracts 04218 [ [link removed] ] and 01618 [ [link removed] ]. DES is looking for purchasers and subject-matter experts to share their experience and feedback with us. 

This solicitation is for translating written words or text and client letters from automated systems from one language to another.

We are hosting a meeting for interested purchasers on Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. [ [link removed] ] Attendees will learn more about the contract, the solicitation process and ways to participate.

Other goods & services 

DES needs your input on direct buy policy to set purchase limits

DES is reviewing the current enterprise direct buy procurement policy [ [link removed] ] for goods and services. We are seeking your feedback about necessary revisions, updates, and clarity. 

We are asking state agencies to share feedback about the policy: Is the policy clear? Does the current direct buy spend amounts help agencies spend more money with diverse businesses?  

Please take 10 to 15 minutes to share your experience and help us set the state direct buy exception purchasing limits for the next five years. The survey closes Sept. 19.
