Once again, Republicans are playing politics with people's livelihoods

On September 30th, the government funding for the year runs out. Trump and House Republicans are DEMANDING that unless the bill includes their voter suppression law to disenfranchise minorities, they'll shut down the government.
We know how damaging a shutdown is to our region and the entire country. In 2018 Trump single-handedly caused the longest shutdown in American history, costing the American economy $11 billion. Shutdowns stop vital public services from being performed and lead to real economic pain for federal employees, contractors, and our men and women in uniform.
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we can push back against the callous disregard Trump shows for our men and women in uniform and our hard-working federal employees.
