Municipal Leaders Gather for UBCM's Annual Convention Next Week
CHBA BC

Next week, CHBA BC is headed to the annual Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) Convention where elected officials from local governments and First Nations leaders across the province gather to discuss key policy issues, best practices, and emerging challenges, as well as engage with other levels of government on their advocacy priorities.

This year's convention has extra significance with the Provincial Election coming up on October 19, 2024. Mayors and councillors from across BC, leaders from First Nations communities, provincial government representatives (including Ministers and the Premier), some federal government officials, and industry representatives will attend as delegates to discuss the 267 resolutions compiled over the last year.

CHBA BC will be there to monitor these resolutions and engage with provincial government representatives and other industry stakeholders to discuss key policy priorities important to our members.
