Until now…enter the American High Speed Rail Act. Introduced this year, this transformative legislation would:
- Invest $41 billion annually in high speed rail
- Prioritize grants for regions not serviced by the airlines or government subsidized routes
- Create funding flexibility and promote transit-oriented development incentives
- Develop a comprehensive set of safety regulations and standards
And that's not all, John! If enacted, the bill would provide the country with tangible economic benefits and vastly improve America’s transportation network.
