Do you find it annoying when candidates ask for your support but don’t tell you where they stand?

I certainly do.

Let me make a few things crystal clear about where I stand on the issues.

Abortion rights: I fully support abortion rights, and I helped pass Oregon’s law protecting our reproductive freedoms. My opponent wants to ban abortion nationwide without exceptions for rape and incest. In Congress, I am continuing to fight for reproductive freedoms.

Medicare and Social Security: We must protect and strengthen Medicare and Social Security to ensure every hardworking American can look forward to a healthy, dignified retirement. My opponent has supported draconian fiscal policies that would put these vital programs on the chopping block.

Democracy: I will always stand up for our democracy and our freedoms when extremists like Donald Trump attack them. My opponent said Trump’s actions during his presidency “were great for this country” — which tells you everything you need to know about his approach to leadership.

Those are just a few of the key contrasts in this campaign, and they make clear how high the stakes are. But here’s the thing: the race is tied. So whichever campaign does a better job getting its message out to voters is going to win.
