THE WEEK's BIG 3

Six hostages, including American Hersh Goldberg-Polin, were recently executed by Hamas. The victims’ bodies were found in Rafah tunnels by the IDF. They had been in captivity since 10/7. Canadian officials detained a 20-year-old man accused of planning a terror plot for New York City. The man allegedly planned to attack Jewish communities on behalf of the Islamic State group. Tucker Carlson received major backlash for having Darryl Cooper as a guest on his podcast. Cooper has been called a “Nazi apologist” for insensitive comments he made related to the Holocaust.

+ADL Tweet: We are devastated by the news that 6 of the hostages kidnapped on 10/7 were murdered in Hamas captivity. Their bodies were rescued by Israeli forces and brought home to their families…

+JG Tweet: “I’m sorry.” This was the last message of Hersh Goldberg-Polin z”l, whose funeral I watched this morning. It was gut wrenching. Soul shredding. Beyond painful. But we are the ones who owe Hersh and his family, and all the victims and their families, an apology…

Tucker Carlson Slammed After Hosting ‘Nazi Apologist’ on Podcast

“Liberals and conservatives alike have turned on Tucker Carlson after controversial podcaster and self-proclaimed historian Darryl Cooper claimed on Carlson’s show that “millions of people ended up dead” in Nazi concentration camps. Cooper also painted U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill as the “chief villain” of World War II.” (READ MORE: Daily Beast)

+ADL Tweet: Tucker Carlson's praise of Nazi apologist Darryl Cooper is an insult to the memory of the 6,000,000 Jews who were murdered by Hitler's Nazi regime.

+JG Tweet: Someone needs to explain to JD Vance that it's not “guilt by association” when Tucker Carlson was slammed for laundering and legitimizing someone who engages in Holocaust denial and distortion. It’s guilt by action. Don’t dismiss it - condemn it…

KEY ADL SOCIAL STATEMENTS

  • It’s important when platforms like YouTube take action against antisemitic propaganda. Videos like Candace Owens' promoting the false claim that 'Jewish people control the media' are not only baseless but fuel dangerous antisemitic conspiracies. This has no place in our society.

  • For 40+ years, the Iranian regime has been the largest state sponsor of antisemitism in the world. It was central to Khomeini's worldview and evident in his writings long before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

  • It is unacceptable to hurl such antisemitic bile and false accusations against a Jewish American journalist. Dana Bash handled this with grace, but no one should have to experience this awful hatred. We can't let this be the new normal.
