Vice President Harris mopped the floor with Donald Trump during the presidential debate – but that’s not just our opinion. In poll after poll, voters agree that Kamala Harris was the clear winner of the debate.
But as we refocus on our campaign here in Minnesota’s 8th, we have some really disappointing news to share: Pete Stauber has declined offers to attend the Almanac North, the Forum Communications/Duluth Chamber of Commerce, and the Northern News Now debates.
Perhaps Stauber is so afraid of debating Jen Schultz because he knows he could perform just as poorly as his buddy Trump did this week.
Jokes aside, this is a serious disappointment for voters in this district. Debates are our opportunity to hear directly from the candidates on where they stand on the issues that matter.

We knew that Pete Stauber has been trying to hide from voters and trick them into thinking he’s a middle-of-the-road guy, but his unwillingness to show up at these 3 events proves that he’s scared of being held accountable for his record. And believe us, Jen is prepared to debate – where she is not only going to hold Stauber accountable, but also share the positive vision for our community and prove that there is a better way forward.
While we are sad that Stauber isn’t willing to meet Jen face to face, we need to ramp up our efforts to further expose him for his dangerous record. Can you rush a donation to our campaign right away?
