John,
Back in May, we released Closing the Missing Middle in Economic Justice ([link removed]) , a playbook for community-rooted nonprofit organizations who want to influence local, state and federal policy to benefit marginalized communities. Hundreds of organizations have downloaded the report since then, and we are energized by conversations sparked by its release.
That's why we're hosting a talk on Wednesday, September 18 that will continue the conversation by exploring who is designing the solutions that are currently advocated for, funded, and implemented — and how we might build power to ensure an equitable economy is possible. Register now. ([link removed])
When: Wednesday, September 18
4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST

Shifting our economy, and the systems that support it, towards racial justice is a monumental task — but it is required to both undo past harms and secure a more just and sustainable future for the next generations. In order to achieve it, we need more organizations building power to move our economy away from the status quo that prioritizes individual wealth accumulation, to one that prioritizes collective well-being.
We hope you join our discussion about the path forward to build power and shift our economy for generations to come. ([link removed])
In gratitude,
Marissa
