John, it’s almost time for Trump to give his first major speech since the debate on Tuesday night.
In about an hour, Trump is taking the stage in Tucson, Arizona — a state he knows he has to carry this November.
The last time he was here he went completely off the rails. He insulted Ruben, called him a “maniac,” and raged that he “shouldn’t even be allowed to run” against Kari Lake.
But he said something extremely important, too: He said if he wins in Arizona, he wins the White House, and that he needed Kari Lake serving alongside him in the Senate.

Trump is spending more and more time in Arizona. We’ve seen a lot over the last couple months, and we’ll no doubt see more in the next seven weeks.
He’s ramping up his own campaign’s spending, with booked political airtime in Arizona rising to $150 MILLION through the fall.
What that all means for us is that this race is going to get a lot tougher. Trump knows if he can defeat Kamala Harris he can help pull Kari Lake along with him. He also knows that if we defeat Kari Lake it’s all the more likely we defeat him, too.
What happens over the next seven weeks in Arizona will determine who holds the Senate and the White House. We can’t leave anything to chance.
